CEVA Logistics has started operating a new logistics center of 75,000 square meters for the fashion and apparel industry in Toledo, Spain. The distribution hub, which has been operated by CEVA since March 2026, is located in the Santa María Benquerencia Industrial Estate and handles more than 120 million garments a year.
The facility is designed to serve both traditional retail networks and eCommerce activity and 60% of its order-picking operations are now automated. A key feature is its 10,000 square meters of smart storage space, allowing silo-style pallet storage for more than 60,000 pallets. There are Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to help manage the system, supporting the movement and handling of goods within the hub.
In addition to its logistics capabilities, the Toledo site is expected to have a strong impact on employment in the region. The facility will provide approximately 400 permanent logistics jobs and up to 1,000 direct regional jobs during peak periods and seasonal sales campaigns.
The new hub is part of a wider strategy by CEVA Logistics to increase automation in its operations. This month the company started testing two fully electric autonomous vehicles at its Singapore Blue Hub. The vehicles are being tested to move inventory through the multi-level facility, such as pallets, storage totes and other warehouse items between different floors.
CEVA also continued to expand its presence in contract logistics in Europe. In July the company extended its contract with GSK for another five years to run the pharmaceutical company’s distribution center in Robakowo, Poland. The pharmaceutical logistics facility uses automation and robotics and serves 13 countries in Northern and Central Europe.

Toledo operation has another angle-sustainability. The LEED-certified facility will include a rooftop solar array, and when the site is fully operational, its silo-mounted photovoltaic system is expected to generate 500,000 kWh of electricity annually.
The power will be used exclusively on-site, feeding energy to the facility’s automated equipment and robotics fleet while also helping to lower its operational carbon emissions. The Toledo hub is intended to be a key component of CEVA’s expanding logistics network, combining large-scale processing capacity, automation, employment and renewable energy.
