Pitt Meadows Plumbing & Mechanical Systems (PMP) is entering a new phase of growth, prompting the company to strengthen its leadership structure and expand the management capacity supporting its operations.

As part of the changes, Sam Revel has been appointed vice president and group chief operating officer, Alexandra Desautels has been named vice president and group chief financial officer, and James Zelinski has taken on the role of group chief of staff.

According to the company, these new group-level positions will provide additional support across leadership, planning, financial strength, operational execution, systems and co-ordination. They will also contribute to the continued development of shared services across the growing group.

“As the group continues to grow, we need the right structure behind it,” said Matthew Robinson, senior vice-president, in a statement. “These changes give our teams stronger support and give each company more room to focus on what they do best. It’s about building the right foundation for the opportunities ahead.”

Under the new structure, Revel will lead areas including operations, innovation, systems and execution. Desautels will oversee finance, administration, planning and the systems needed to support continued growth.

Zelinski’s responsibilities will include communication, strategic priorities, planning and alignment across the group.

PMP is also making changes to its senior management team while maintaining several existing leadership responsibilities.

Kevin Ott will continue in his role as director of construction, while Nathan Robinson will remain director of estimating and procurement.

At the same time, Gordon McDonald will become senior construction design manager, and Phil Robinson will take on the position of senior operations manager.

The company has also appointed Jonathan Brubacher as senior administration manager and Duncan Stefurak as group controller.

Together, the changes are designed to deepen PMP’s leadership capabilities across a broad range of functions, including construction, estimating, procurement, design, operations, safety, administration, finance, systems and project delivery, the release states.

The leadership update reflects PMP’s continued focus on scalability as the group expands. The company says its approach centres on building stronger systems, deeper leadership capacity and shared support, allowing each company within the group to continue growing while supporting increasingly complex work across Western Canada.
