Project Cargo Network (PCN) has introduced a new Industry Associate programme designed to extend its global heavy lift and project cargo ecosystem beyond traditional freight forwarders to include the wider network of supporting service providers.
The initiative is aimed at companies that play a supporting role in project logistics operations, including crane and equipment suppliers, port and terminal operators, software developers, surveyors, engineers, customs specialists, insurers, legal advisors, vessel operators, recruitment firms, packing companies, and media organisations. The goal is to create a more integrated professional network across all functions involved in complex cargo movements.
Through the new membership category, Industry Associates will gain access to a range of visibility and networking opportunities within the PCN ecosystem. These include featured company profiles and logo placement on the PCN website, advertising opportunities in its eMagazine—which reaches more than 10,000 industry professionals—and promotional exposure via PCN’s LinkedIn network, which exceeds 33,000 followers.
Members will also be able to participate in the organisation’s Annual Summit and dedicated networking events, as well as benefit from discounted specialist training courses focused on heavy transport and project cargo operations. Additional support will be provided through PCN’s UK-based head office team.
Since its launch in 2010, Project Cargo Network has developed into one of the most established specialist organisations in the project cargo sector, bringing together more than 350 companies worldwide. Its membership structure operates under strict entry standards and is supported by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems.
The organisation said the new programme has already attracted its first Industry Associates from sectors including software, media, surveying and engineering, as well as financial services, reflecting early interest from a broad range of supporting industries.
With this expansion, PCN aims to strengthen collaboration across the full project logistics value chain, reinforcing the interdependence between core freight operators and the technical, digital and financial services that support heavy lift and oversized cargo operations globally.
