Roberto Alvo, CEO of LATAM Airlines Group, has been named the recipient of the 2026 BRAVO CEO of the Year Award by the Council of the Americas (COA), as part of the 31st edition of the BRAVO Business Awards.

The distinction recognises Alvo’s leadership of LATAM during one of the most difficult periods in the history of the airline industry. He took over as chief executive in March 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic was creating unprecedented pressure across global aviation.

Since then, Alvo has guided the group through a comprehensive financial restructuring designed to strengthen its resilience and establish stronger foundations for long-term growth. Under his leadership, LATAM has also recorded its strongest financial performance to date, while accelerating its digital transformation and making further progress in operational efficiency.

The award also highlights Alvo’s focus on the people behind the organisation. Throughout the transformation process, he has placed particular emphasis on supporting the dedication and commitment of more than 44,000 employees working across the Group and the region.

The 2026 BRAVO CEO of the Year Award will be formally presented on November 19 in Miami, United States.
