Riege Software is taking another step toward bridging airfreight visibility gaps by expanding its partnership with CargoAi, integrating CargoCONNECT’s Track & Trace API into Scope, Riege Software’s transport management system.
The new integration means that freight forwarders using Scope will be able to receive standardized airline shipment events directly into their existing operational environment. The solution is intended to improve visibility and reduce manual tracking, and to allow forwarders to respond faster to their customers thru the automatic collection and arrangement of shipment milestones.
The Track & Trace API covers over 260 airlines and automatically collects and standardizes shipment events for import, export, consolidated, back-to-back and direct air shipments. The service is for IATA and non-IATA freight forwarders.
The integration is part of Scope’s Airline Messaging Premium capability. Its aim is to provide freight forwarders with more timely and reliable information on shipment status and further reinforce the role of the transport management system as a central source of operational data.
One of the main challenges dealt with by the solution is the incomplete coverage of shipment events. If milestones are missing, operations teams may have to visit individual airline websites to check actual departures and arrivals, copy information from external sources and manually enter the missing events into their transport management system.
The new integration is also intended to enhance tracking coverage for import shipments, an area where freight forwarders have historically lacked visibility.
In a 2026 pilot with Riege Software, the integration has achieved 91.3% export event coverage and 90.2% import event coverage. “In general, the system can capture up to 90% of the important shipment events depending on the airline and availability of shipment data.”
Scope’s Airline Messaging Premium feature offers standardized visibility across key milestones including FWB, RCS, MAN, DEP, ARR, RCF, NFD and DLV events.
Now, freight forwarders can track shipments across more than 260 airlines directly in Scope, without the hassle of separate tracking platforms or manual flight research. The aim is to improve the completeness of the shipment information and to increase the efficiency of daily airfreight operations.
