Amazon is accelerating its expansion into rural delivery markets with the opening of new facilities in West Virginia.
The sites, located in Davisville and Beaver, are designed to support faster delivery of everyday goods to nearby communities, including same-day services for selected orders.
The facilities are expected to support around 500 jobs, including both Amazon employees and contracted delivery drivers.
The expansion is part of a broader $4 billion investment aimed at strengthening Amazon’s rural logistics network. By the end of 2026, the company plans to triple its rural delivery footprint.
The move reflects growing demand for rapid delivery beyond major urban centres, where logistics efficiency has traditionally been more challenging due to lower population density and longer delivery routes.
Amazon said customers within a 65-mile radius of the new facilities should see improved delivery times, further extending its fast-delivery capabilities across the U.S.
