American Airlines Cargo is ramping up its international operations ahead of the summer peak season, with a significant expansion of its widebody network.
At peak, the airline expects to operate up to 186 daily international widebody flights, providing increased capacity across key global trade lanes.
Between June and August, American will run approximately 4,400 monthly widebody services between the U.S. and Europe. London Heathrow will see the largest increase, with up to 21 daily departures connecting to major U.S. hubs and onward domestic networks.
The expansion includes new and enhanced routes linking major European cities such as Athens, Budapest, Prague, Zurich, Milan and Edinburgh with U.S. gateways including Dallas Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Miami and New York JFK.
Additional capacity across Germany, with daily services from Frankfurt and Munich, will further strengthen cargo connectivity across Central Europe.
In Latin America, increased widebody operations between Buenos Aires and Dallas Fort Worth aim to support strong seasonal demand and enhance connections across the airline’s network.
Domestically, American will operate more than 6,200 daily departures at peak, anchored by its Dallas hub. Widebody services from Hawaii to DFW will also improve cargo flows between the Pacific and mainland U.S.
The airline said the expanded schedule reflects its focus on providing reliable capacity where demand is strongest, positioning it to support global supply chains during the busy summer period.
