Global freight forwarding and project logistics specialist deugro has promoted Steffen Behrens to the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), marking a strategic internal appointment aimed at reinforcing the company’s commercial leadership during a phase of continued global growth.
Behrens, a seasoned logistics professional with more than two decades of industry experience, has been with deugro since 2017. He has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence across the Middle East, operating from its regional hub in Dubai. In 2022, he was named President – Middle East, a position he will temporarily retain while transitioning into his new responsibilities.
During this transition period, Behrens will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer and President – Middle East, before taking on the CCO role exclusively starting September 1, 2025.

Behrens’ extensive background in project logistics spans several global markets, including the United Arab Emirates, China, and Germany, where he held various operational and leadership roles across deugro and other logistics firms.
