Deutsche Aircraft has appointed Nils Heuer as director of global sales, reinforcing its commercial team at a pivotal stage in the development of the D328eco programme.

In his new role, Heuer will lead the global sales organisation across the civil regional aviation market as well as the multi-role and special mission segment. The company said the move is intended to support further commercial expansion as the aircraft approaches major certification and production milestones.

The appointment comes at a key moment for Deutsche Aircraft as the D328eco enters its industrialisation phase. Over the past three years, Heuer has already served as director sales for the programme and played an important role in customer engagement and market positioning, both in traditional regional airline markets and in higher-demand multi-role applications.

Before joining Deutsche Aircraft, he held a range of roles in sales, strategy and business development at Lufthansa Technik AG, building experience in market development, technical sales and aircraft lifecycle support. The company also highlighted his aerospace engineering background, which it said gives him a strong understanding of both the aircraft itself and the mission-specific requirements of operators.

Anastasija Visnakova, chief commercial officer at Deutsche Aircraft, said the appointment comes at a crucial point in the company’s commercial roadmap. She said Heuer’s leadership will help develop, expand and internationalise the global sales organisation, adding that his combination of technical expertise, customer insight and experience in complex commercial campaigns will strengthen the company’s ability to serve both civil and multi-role operators worldwide.

Heuer said he was honoured to take on the role at such a pivotal time for the company and said he looks forward to continuing work with customers around the world as Deutsche Aircraft expands its presence across civil and special mission markets.

The company said the move is part of a broader effort to streamline commercial functions and better align sales, marketing, operator engagement and programme development as it prepares for the D328eco’s eventual entry into service.
