February 26, 2025 – Emirates SkyCargo has revealed its first freighter featuring the airline’s refreshed new livery, marking a significant milestone in the company’s modernization efforts. The Boeing 777 freighter A6-EFV, originally delivered in July 2024 without livery, has now emerged from Emirates Engineering adorned with the airline’s updated branding.

A Bold New Look for Emirates SkyCargo

Over the span of eight days, a dedicated team of specialists at Emirates Engineering’s in-house paint shop meticulously applied the refreshed design. The most noticeable update is on the UAE flag on the tailfin, which now features a more dynamic and flowing design with a 3D effect. Other enhancements include:

  • Larger and bolder gold lettering in English and Arabic across the aircraft’s main body.
  • Retained Arabic calligraphy on the engines, preserving the airline’s rich heritage.
  • Iconic red branding on the aircraft belly, ensuring brand consistency.

The new livery design, first introduced in March 2023, is the third iteration of Emirates’ branding since its launch in 1985.

Expanding the Fleet with a Modern Touch

The Boeing 777 freighter A6-EFV is the first of 10 Emirates freighters scheduled to receive the refreshed livery. Additionally, 13 newly ordered freighters will come pre-painted in the new design upon delivery.

Nadeem Sultan, Senior Vice President of Cargo Planning and Freighters at Emirates SkyCargo, emphasized the importance of this modernization:

“Emirates SkyCargo freighters are some of the most instantly recognizable aircraft in the skies, flying valuable commodities to and from 38 destinations worldwide. The investment in new livery represents our ongoing commitment to modernizing our fleet as we continue to build our capacity and unlock new opportunities to serve our global customers.”

Looking Ahead

With its commitment to innovation and brand consistency, Emirates SkyCargo continues to strengthen its global cargo operations while enhancing its visual identity. As the airline gradually applies the new livery to its fleet, customers and aviation enthusiasts alike can expect a modern, refreshed Emirates SkyCargo brand soaring across the world’s skies.
