Malcolm Wilson, CEO of GXO Logistics, has announced plans to retire in 2025, marking the end of a remarkable career in the logistics industry. Wilson, who has led GXO since its inception in 2021, leaves behind a legacy of growth, innovation, and transformation.

A Visionary Leader

Wilson took the helm at GXO following its spin-off from XPO Logistics, guiding the company to become one of the world’s largest and most advanced logistics providers. Today, GXO boasts approximately 130,000 employees and manages over 200 million square feet of logistics facilities across the Americas, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Record Achievements

Under Wilson’s leadership, GXO achieved significant milestones, including adding over $3 billion in revenue since its launch. The company has pioneered cutting-edge technologies in logistics and supply chain management, setting a high standard in the industry.

“Leading GXO has been the highlight of my three decades in logistics,” Wilson said. “We’ve built an outstanding organization that embraces technology and innovation, securing our place as a global leader.”

A Smooth Transition

As Wilson prepares to step down, GXO has initiated a global search for his successor, aiming for a seamless leadership transition. Brad Jacobs, Chairman of GXO, expressed gratitude for Wilson’s contributions and unwavering commitment to the company’s success.

“We respect Malcolm’s decision and are deeply grateful for his leadership. He has laid a strong foundation for GXO’s future growth and innovation,” Jacobs stated.

Looking Forward

Headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, GXO Logistics specializes in advanced supply chain solutions, serving a wide range of industries. As it continues to expand, the company remains focused on leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and sustainability in logistics.

Wilson’s retirement signals the end of an era for GXO but also marks a new chapter as the company seeks fresh leadership to build on his extraordinary legacy. The industry will undoubtedly watch closely as GXO continues to shape the future of logistics.
