Schaeffler Vehicle Aftermarket has unveiled a state-of-the-art Central Logistics Center in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand, in collaboration with Kuehne+Nagel, a global leader in logistics. This partnership is set to streamline supply chain operations and boost service quality across the Asia-Pacific region.

A New Era in Logistics for Schaeffler

The newly established 3,000-square-meter facility, strategically located 21 kilometers from Schaeffler’s Chonburi manufacturing plant, will serve as a central hub for spare parts distribution. The logistics center is designed to:

  • Enhance delivery speed and reliability.
  • Improve supply chain transparency and efficiency.
  • Cater to the growing demands of Schaeffler’s aftermarket customers.

Kuehne+Nagel’s Role

As the operational manager of the facility, Kuehne+Nagel will oversee:

  • Goods Receiving and Shipping: Ensuring seamless handling and delivery of products.
  • Kitting Operations: Preparing customized kits to meet specific client needs.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Leveraging its global expertise to enhance logistics performance.

David Roussiere, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar, expressed confidence in the partnership, highlighting their long-standing collaboration and commitment to excellence.

Strategic Importance for Schaeffler

Micah Shepard, President of Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Asia Pacific, emphasized the facility’s pivotal role in the company’s supply chain strategy. He stated, “This center will not only strengthen our ability to meet customer demands efficiently but also reinforces our dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.”

A Commitment to Growth

This initiative aligns with Schaeffler’s long-term vision and Roadmap 2026, focusing on:

  • Expanding infrastructure to meet regional demands.
  • Incorporating advanced logistics solutions for operational excellence.
  • Improving sustainability in supply chain practices.

Kuehne+Nagel, a key partner in this project, has been actively investing in the Asia-Pacific region, further solidifying Thailand as a logistics hub with strategic facilities, including its recently launched distribution center at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Future Implications

The establishment of the Central Logistics Center not only highlights Schaeffler’s commitment to its customers but also demonstrates the growing importance of Thailand as a logistics epicenter. By integrating expertise from Kuehne+Nagel, Schaeffler is poised to set new benchmarks in the region’s logistics sector.

This partnership underscores the power of collaboration in building efficient and resilient supply chains for the future.
