The 25th edition of LogiPharma — the world’s foremost life sciences supply chain event — officially kicked off in Lyon, France this week, bringing together more than 2,200 industry leaders, innovators, and supply chain strategists.
A Landmark Gathering of Global Pharma Leaders
Welcoming both returning attendees and first-time participants, Will Robinson, Programme Director at Worldwide Business Research (WBR), emphasized the significance of the milestone edition. “I am so happy to be welcoming you all here, in Lyon for what is set to be a very special edition of the world’s leading life sciences supply chain event.”
With nearly 350 speakers and attendees representing over 250 pharmaceutical and med tech companies — including all of the top 20 global pharma firms — the scale and ambition of LogiPharma 2025 reflect the sector’s rapid evolution and rising demands.
Customised Tracks and Holistic Engagement
This year’s agenda introduces a new Procurement and Partner Integration track, while encouraging participants to navigate across seven thematic workstreams within a compact, highly interactive venue. From sustainability demonstrations to guided tastings (cheese, wine, whisky, beer, champagne), yoga sessions and even a running club, the event delivers a unique blend of business and personal engagement.
AI at the Forefront of Supply Chain Transformation
Artificial intelligence takes center stage at LogiPharma 2025, with AI implementations moving well beyond pilot phases into enterprise-wide adoption. From logistics planning and demand forecasting to training and ESG compliance, AI is transforming supply chains into intelligent, adaptive ecosystems.
“Artificial intelligence is expanding exponentially,” said Robinson. “Use cases are no longer pilots. Engagement in the technology is no longer exploratory.”
Building a Resilient, Tech-Driven Value Chain
A central theme is the transformation of the life sciences value chain, with a focus on agility, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer-centric innovation. Sessions explore how technology, collaboration, and integrated planning are accelerating time-to-market and mitigating global risks.
“By leveraging advanced technologies and fostering collaboration, companies can enhance resilience, comply with regulations, and prioritize customer needs,” Robinson noted.
Sustainability Goals Press Forward
Despite geopolitical and economic headwinds, the industry’s commitment to sustainability and ESG goals remains steadfast. Robinson praised the sector’s progress toward carbon neutrality: “The industry has not changed tack… the ardent pursuit of some producers’ ambitious targets within the next few years around carbon emissions is truly humbling to see.”
Conclusion: A Vision for the Future of Life Sciences Logistics
LogiPharma 2025 sets the tone for a new era in life sciences logistics — one where digital innovation, AI, sustainability, and resilience converge to define the next generation of pharma supply chains. As the event unfolds in Lyon, the global community continues to shape the future of healthcare delivery, logistics excellence, and patient-centric transformation.
