China Merchants Nanjing Tanker has commissioned three 6,600 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers at China Merchants Shipbuilding Industry Yangzhou Dingheng Shipyard, expanding its fleet in a deal valued at RMB 492 million ($71.33 million).
The vessels are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2028. Nanjing Tanker said the ships will be designed and built in compliance with the latest emissions standards issued by the IMO and China’s domestic regulators. The design includes advanced energy-saving equipment and technologies, with conventional-fuel main engines configured to be methanol dual-fuel ready.
The company said the program will help optimize its chemical tanker fleet structure, improve operational efficiency and strengthen its market position in chemical transportation.
