To achieve this, the JV will deploy Container RoRo (ConRo), Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC), and RoRo vessels, starting operations with 11 vessels across five key services.

Expanding the RoRo Industry

Captain Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO – Maritime & Shipping Cluster, AD Ports Group, highlighted the importance of the JV in the growing RoRo sector:

“The demand for efficient cargo transportation continues to rise, and this strategic partnership allows us to expand in the Ro-Ro shipping industry, consistently explore new markets, and capitalize on emerging opportunities. This venture will streamline operations through integrated regional feeder networks, reduce transit times, and enhance cargo delivery efficiency for our customers.”

Driving Synergies for Growth

Tolga Emrah Gezgin, Chairman of Erkport, emphasized the collaboration’s benefits:

“This partnership marks a significant milestone as we join forces to expand RoRo shipping and vehicle logistics. Erkport’s market expertise, combined with Noatum Maritime’s global network and operational capabilities, creates a powerful collaboration unlocking new opportunities for our customers.”

He added that the JV will focus on security, quality, experience, and speed, which are essential competitive factors in the RoRo shipping industry.

Looking Ahead

The Noatum-Erkport JV represents a major step in optimizing RoRo feeder shipping operations globally. By leveraging integrated logistics, extensive fleet resources, and operational expertise, the venture aims to deliver high-quality maritime services while improving connectivity and efficiency in global RoRo transport.
