Riyadh — Container traffic in Saudi Arabia rose 12% in July.
The increase is compared to the same month last year.
Officials said the growth came from more imports and exports.
New cranes and storage areas improved port operations.
Jeddah Islamic Port handled the largest share.
King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam also reported strong gains.
Waiting times for ships fell.
Loading speed improved.
The ports form part of a national logistics plan.
The aim is to make Saudi Arabia a trade link between Asia, Africa, and Europe.
