TCS Launches AI Center in Toulouse to Transform Aerospace and Defense Industries

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has inaugurated a new delivery center in Toulouse, France, dedicated to advancing the aerospace and defense sectors through cutting-edge technologies. This state-of-the-art facility will leverage artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, machine learning, and data analytics to enhance various aspects of aircraft design, manufacturing, and maintenance.

Strategically located in Blagnac near Toulouse Airport, the center aims to be at the heart of Europe’s aerospace industry. TCS plans to collaborate closely with local clients to improve fuel efficiency, develop advanced materials for lighter aircraft structures, and implement predictive maintenance systems to minimize downtime and enhance safety.

Anupam Singhal, President of Manufacturing at TCS, emphasized the company’s commitment:

“This new center embodies TCS’ commitment to driving future-ready manufacturing within the aerospace industry. By harnessing the power of AI and our deep domain expertise, we aim to achieve new heights of efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. Together, we are not just shaping the future of aircraft production but enabling future-ready skies.”

This initiative is part of TCS’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in France, where it has operated for the past 30 years. The company supports CAC 40 companies and large enterprises in their digital transformation journeys and plans to double its workforce in the region. The Toulouse center joins existing delivery hubs in Lille, Poitiers, and the Paris region, reinforcing TCS’s ‘glocal’ approach—combining local engagement with global capabilities.

Rammohan Gourneni, Country Head for France at TCS, highlighted the significance of the new center:

“This new centre of excellence, a real catalyst for growth for our long-term strategy in France, brings together the best local talent and mobilizes the entire international know-how of our group to offer sharp advice and flawless project execution to aerospace players.”

The delivery center is also expected to play a pivotal role in accelerating recruitment in the region, fostering collaborations with leading schools and universities to equip future generations with the skills needed in an evolving digital landscape.
