The Children’s Place Inc. has announced a fresh round of executive changes, with the retailer strengthening its leadership structure across sourcing, operations and inventory planning.

Effective February 24, Kristin Clifford was named SVP, head of sourcing and product operations, according to a company press release. The appointment expands her previous role as SVP, head of sourcing, adding oversight of product operations, international design and technical design to her remit.

The company also promoted Aleksandra Kinney to GVP, head of global planning and inventory, and added her to the senior leadership team. Kinney joined The Children’s Place in 2018 as director of inventory management and has since taken on broader responsibilities within the business.

Additional leadership changes include the appointment of Kim Roy as executive director and Lisa Pillette as chief customer officer.

The executive changes come at a time when many retailers are reassessing supply chain leadership as they adapt to shifting consumer demand, sourcing complexity and omnichannel pressures. The Children’s Place is not alone. Last year, PVH Corp., parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, appointed Patricia Gabriel as chief supply chain officer and global head of operations. More recently, Nordstrom promoted Jason Bell to chief supply chain officer after years leading supply chain operations, fulfillment and distribution.

For The Children’s Place, the leadership reshuffle signals an effort to more tightly connect sourcing, product execution and inventory discipline as the retailer navigates a competitive consumer market.
