Whiteriver Logistics Inc. has recently secured 16 acres of land for the construction of a 50,000-square-foot warehouse and transportation distribution center at CentrePort Canada in Manitoba.
Situated in the Rural Municipality of Rosser, this marks Whiteriver’s second CentrePort location, complementing its existing operation in BrookPort Business Park.
Initially investing $13 million in their inaugural location—a 20,000-square-foot facility that commenced operations in January 2022—Whiteriver is now allocating an additional $17 million for their second site, citing the imperative to bolster future growth.
“This new facility will consolidate our trucking, warehousing, outside storage, and container storage depot in one convenient location, affording us the flexibility to expand our operations and accommodate ongoing expansion,” remarked Whiteriver Logistics President Raj Sekhon.
With a 15-year presence in Manitoba, Whiteriver partnered with RoadStar Trucking, a Milton-based family-owned enterprise, in 2022. The new CentrePort site will facilitate the co-location of both businesses, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency.
Construction for the new facility is slated to commence in spring 2024, with operations expected to commence by late 2024 or early 2025.
