Yang Ming Marine Transport is launching a new dedicated China-Singapore-Malaysia service as it strengthens its intra-Asia liner network.
The Taiwanese shipping line said the new CSM service is designed to improve direct connectivity and respond to growing demand for reliable, frequent and efficient short-haul shipping links between South China and Southeast Asia.
The service is scheduled to begin on 3 April and will be operated by three vessels of 2,800 teu each. It will offer weekly fixed sailings on a 21-day round voyage. The rotation will call at Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang and back to Xiamen.
Yang Ming said the service was designed around key regional hub ports. Beyond reinforcing its direct links between South China and Southeast Asia, the carrier said it would also help customers respond more effectively to shifting market demand through a flexible and broader intra-Asia network.
The company added that it would continue refining its wider global service structure in an effort to deliver shipping solutions that are more diversified, dependable, sustainable and service-focused.
