This growth was accompanied by a 3.7% increase in overall capacity, indicating that the supply of airspace expanded slightly faster than demand, but without creating a major imbalance.
International traffic has been particularly dynamic, up by 4.2%, indicating that cross-border corridors—notably Asia-Europe and Americas-Europe/Africa—continue to be key drivers of the recovery.
At the same time, divergent regional trends emerged: Asia-Pacific showed strong growth, while some areas like North America exhibited more modest trajectories.
This dynamic underscores a phase of normalization in the sector after the disruptions of the pandemic, with demand driven by value-added goods, technological components, and perishable goods requiring rapid delivery.
