Menzies Aviation has reported record 2025 results, with global revenue rising 16% year on year to $3 billion and EBITDA reaching $406 million on a post-IFRS16 basis, as the group continued its rapid global expansion.
The company said the performance marks its fifth consecutive year of double-digit revenue growth and reflects a combination of disciplined execution, targeted acquisitions and deeper multi-service partnerships with airlines and airport customers.
Menzies also posted an EBITDA margin of 13.4% and further expanded its operating scale. During the year, it supported 5.3 million flights — the equivalent of around 14,500 per day — while handling 2.4 million tonnes of cargo across 76 facilities.
Its network now spans 347 airports in 65 countries. A major contributor to that growth was the acquisition of G2 Secure Staff, which doubled the group’s US footprint to 108 airports and established Menzies as the largest aviation services provider in that market.
The workforce increased to 65,000 employees, up by more than 13,000 year on year, while voluntary staff turnover improved by 13%.
Menzies said its growth has come at a time when airlines and airports are placing greater emphasis on operational resilience, efficiency and sustainability. It added that recent geopolitical tensions, fluctuating fuel markets and airspace restrictions have accelerated consolidation toward larger, integrated service providers that can support both passenger and cargo demand during periods of disruption.
The company added 63 airports to its network in 2025, further strengthening its position as the largest aviation services provider by number of airports and countries served. In addition to flight activity, operations included 3.7 million fuelling turns and 1.6 million ground handling turns.
Across key markets, Menzies secured several important wins. In the United States, it obtained new ground handling licences at Miami International Airport and New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy Airport, and also became the first international ground handler certified in Argentina. In Europe, the acquisition of its largest cargo facility in Northern Europe at Oslo Airport enhanced cargo capabilities, while its fuels network expanded to 16 locations.
In the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, the company secured a 15-year ground handling licence at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport, launched operations at the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Luanda, and expanded at major hubs including Sydney and Hong Kong. It also broadened its Air Menzies International operations in Auckland and India and continued to develop the Pearl lounge brand.
Menzies said it also invested heavily in people, sustainability and operational resilience. More than $200 million was directed into fleet modernisation, helping the group exceed its target of having 25% electric ground support equipment. It also increased its use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil.
On the social side, the company launched its first global charity partnership with UK for UNHCR and hired 60 refugees in Mexico. Training activity reached 2.4 million hours, with nearly 3,500 leadership courses delivered. A new Front of House uniform was introduced across 62 locations, and more than 2,651 kg of old uniforms were diverted from landfill through recycling initiatives. Over $700,000 in funding was also committed to sustainable development partnerships.
Executive chairman Hassan El-Houry described 2025 as a defining year for Menzies, saying the company’s financial and operational performance reflected strong execution and strategic expansion. Group chief executive Philipp Joeinig said the results were driven by both organic growth and acquisitions, supported by a 90% customer retention rate and continued investment in safety, technology, sustainability and people.
He added that Menzies has built a resilient business capable of navigating both global and regional headwinds, and is well positioned to pursue further growth as demand rises across aviation services.
