A coordinated humanitarian response led by United Airlines, Airlink and Good360 has delivered essential relief supplies to communities affected by severe storms in Hawaii.
Following consecutive Kona Low weather systems that struck Maui and Oahu, more than 10,000 residents were displaced due to flooding and landslides. In response, the partners rapidly mobilised logistics operations to support emergency relief efforts.
On April 10, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner departed from Chicago O’Hare International Airport bound for Kahului Airport, carrying critical supplies including generators, hygiene products and essential goods donated through Good360’s network.
The ongoing weather conditions have continued to disrupt access to power, housing and essential services, increasing the urgency of the response.
United Cargo highlighted the importance of speed and coordination in disaster logistics, noting that pre-established partnerships enable rapid deployment when crises occur.
Airlink emphasised the role of aviation in accelerating humanitarian response, ensuring that supplies reach affected populations quickly and efficiently.
Good360 added that the shipments are designed to connect local nonprofits with the exact resources required on the ground, ensuring targeted and effective distribution.
The operation underscores how strategic collaboration across aviation and humanitarian sectors can significantly enhance disaster response capabilities.
