CSafe is extending its digital offering for pharmaceutical logistics with the launch of the CSafe Connect Mobile App, bringing the company’s cloud-based cold chain platform directly to mobile devices.
The application gives pharmaceutical manufacturers, freight forwarders and airlines access to key shipment information without being tied to a desktop. Users can monitor shipments, check container conditions, manage leases and access data while working at warehouses, airports or other locations across the logistics chain.
CSafe Connect is already used by cold chain teams around the world to manage active and passive container shipments, track shipment data and coordinate logistics. The new mobile application expands those capabilities, allowing teams to stay connected while away from their desks.
Among its main functions, the app enables users to place new lease orders, review lease and data information, monitor container conditions and check GPS locations in real time. Shipment information can also be accessed on demand through the mobile platform.
For pharmaceutical supply chains, where temperature excursions or other shipment problems can threaten the viability of a therapy, rapid access to operational information can be critical. The new application is designed to help logistics teams identify irregularities sooner, respond more quickly and protect the integrity of pharmaceutical products while reducing the potential for losses.
CSafe describes the application as the first mobile solution of its kind in the pharmaceutical cold chain sector, adding a mobile layer to its existing digital platform.
