Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT) has announced the appointment of Upneesh Gill as the new Head of Product & Service Delivery, in recognition of her nearly 15 years of service within the company and her extensive knowledge of air cargo operations, customer service and technology delivery.
Gill’s relationship with Hermes began well before her HLT career. She was an early adopter of the system, having used it since it was launched in 2001. In her time at Menzies she was responsible for cargo operations and customer satisfaction. She had direct experience of the operational challenges faced by air cargo organizations and the technology that is required to support their operations.
Since joining Hermes Logistics Technologies, Gill has built on this operational background in roles in Customer Relations and Delivery. She has concentrated on building customer relationships and supporting service delivery throughout the business, bringing hands-on industry experience and a long-standing knowledge of the company’s technology.
“We are very excited to have Gill join the team. His experience in both operational and customer facing roles will be invaluable to us,” said Yuval Baruch, CEO, Hermes Logistics Technologies.
“Upneesh gives us something very valuable at HLT: she understands Hermes from the point of view of someone who has actually used it in a live cargo operation, in addition to years of experience working with our customers,” said Baruch.
As Hermes embarks on a new chapter, she will be an important contributor to the company’s continued development, he added, saying her knowledge, experience and established relationships will be invaluable.
The appointment also demonstrates HLT’s ongoing commitment to the knowledge and experience underpinning its technology offering and customer relationships. Appointing Gill to lead Product & Service Delivery is the company’s way of looking to build on these foundations as it pursues its ambitions for the next generation of the Hermes ecosystem.
For Gill, the new role is an opportunity to combine her experience as a former customer with her experience as a member of the HLT team.
“It’s an exciting time to step into this role at such an important juncture in Hermes’ evolution. I have been a customer of the system and now for many years I have been working with our customers at HLT and I have seen the changes in technology and industry. “I’m very excited to be bringing that experience into my new role and to help shape the next chapter of Hermes as we keep improving our products and services,” said Gill, who is Head of Product & Service Delivery at Hermes Logistics Technologies.
