Talma is gearing up to gather the main actors of the Latin American aviation sector in the sixth edition of its Latin American Seminar, which will be held on November 4, 2026. The virtual event will serve as a platform for international organizations, aviation authorities, companies and industry specialists to address the key challenges, recent developments and future priorities in the sector.
The airport services firm, which operates in Peru and other Latin American markets and is part of Grupo Sandoval, will use the seminar as a vehicle to promote dialog and the sharing of knowledge on issues affecting the aviation industry in the region.
Key issues will include the outlook for the Peruvian aviation industry, the economic environment for commercial air transport across Latin America, operational safety and the legal environment for airport operations.
International organizations in aviation safety
One of the topics on the agenda will be the issue of operational safety and representatives from four major international aviation organizations will be present: the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airports Council International – Latin America & the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) and the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO).
Their input will be concentrated on ongoing industry initiatives and operational challenges, including the Fénix project and runway safety. The talks are intended to offer insight into the measures and approaches being worked on to improve safety standards across the aviation industry.
Legal aspects of airport operation will also be discussed. Experts will speak on open-skies agreements and aircraft contracts, with a focus on the regulatory and contractual issues that govern the growth of commercial aviation in the region.
On the agenda is the digital and operational development of Jorge Chavez Airport
The seminar will also look at recent developments and capabilities at Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport.
Presentations will address a variety of technological and operational initiatives, including the digital platform of Lima Airport and the surface radar system managed by the Peruvian Airports and Commercial Aviation Corporation (CORPAC). Participants will also be briefed on the expansion of Talma’s fleet and infrastructure.
These discussions will provide an opportunity to discuss the role that digital solutions, airport systems and infrastructure investments, are playing in the modernization of airport operations.
Talma to showcase projects in four Latin American markets
In addition to the regional talks, Talma will present some of the main projects and initiatives developed by the company in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico.
The presentations will cover a number of areas of activity, including the Talma Specialized Center, aviation training programs, e-commerce solutions and the Aeronautical Technical Center for Helicopters.
The company intends to use these initiatives to share its own experience in the development of specialized services, professional training and technical capabilities throughout its regional operations.
Arturo Cassinelli, Corporate General Manager of Talma Servicios Aeroportuarios, said the event was important and emphasized the need for a coordinated approach to aviation development.
“The development of Latin American aviation requires a comprehensive vision that includes operational safety, infrastructure, technology and the regulatory framework. “We want to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences among the main actors of the sector, contributing to build an increasingly safe, efficient and innovative industry”, he said.
