Bhupinder Singh Appointed as President of IMEA Region at Messe München

Messe München has announced the appointment of Bhupinder Singh as President of the IMEA region (India, Middle East, Africa), effective January 1, 2025. This strategic move aims to strengthen the company’s focus and operations across these dynamic markets.

Professional Background:

  • Leadership in India: Since 2016, Singh has served as CEO of Messe München India, transforming it into the organization’s second-largest international subsidiary. Under his leadership, the Indian portfolio expanded from seven to over 20 events, nearly quadrupling the company’s revenue.
  • African Market Oversight: In addition to his responsibilities in India, Singh has been overseeing Messe München’s events in Africa, contributing to the company’s global expansion strategy.

New Responsibilities:

As President IMEA, Singh will:

  • Middle East Expansion: Drive Messe München’s market entry and growth initiatives in the Middle East.
  • Board Membership: Join the Board of Directors of MMI Asia Singapore, the umbrella organization for Messe München’s operations in China, India, Africa, and the Middle East.

Executive Endorsement:

Stefan Rummel and Reinhard Pfeiffer, Co-CEOs of Messe München, praised Singh’s strategic vision and leadership, stating, “He has already led our Indian subsidiary to extraordinary success and will now also establish our trade fairs in the Middle East.”

Vision for the Future:

Singh expressed enthusiasm about his expanded role, stating, “Leading the IMEA region is an opportunity to shape the future of trade fairs in some of the world’s most dynamic markets.
