GLOBAL — Air China Cargo has partnered with cargo.one to bring its air freight capacity onto the digital platform, giving thousands of freight forwarders access to real-time quoting, booking and tracking capabilities.

The agreement marks Air China Cargo’s first global digital distribution partnership and represents a significant step in the carrier’s digital sales strategy. Through cargo.one, forwarders can access Air China Cargo capacity directly within their existing digital workflows, helping them quote and secure shipments more efficiently.

Air China Cargo operates 24 dedicated freighters, alongside belly capacity on Air China’s international passenger network. Its cargo network includes 30 all-cargo routes across 14 countries in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, supported by more than 1,500 overland trucking routes.

The carrier serves a broad range of industries, including high-tech, pharmaceuticals, automotive and perishables, as well as global freight forwarders, e-commerce platforms and shippers.

“Launching global digital sales on cargo.one is an important milestone in Air China Cargo’s growth strategy and digitalization journey,” said Lei Wang, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Air China Cargo.

He added that cargo.one would help the carrier extend its reach to thousands of freight forwarders worldwide while providing customers with a more seamless end-to-end digital experience.

For cargo.one, the partnership strengthens its position as a digital distribution platform for global air cargo carriers.

“We are proud to be selected as the partner-of-choice by Air China Cargo,” said Moritz Claussen, Founder and Co-CEO of cargo.one. “As Air China Cargo’s first global digital sales partner, we provide freight forwarders a valuable new gateway to its sought-after capacity to and from China, fully integrated within our AI-native operating system.”

The platform combines multimodal rate selection with AI-powered tools designed to help freight forwarders quote more quickly, improve accuracy, increase shipment win rates and streamline operational processes.

From the launch, freight forwarders using cargo.one in Europe and North America can quote, book and track general cargo, including Express services, for shipments of up to 5,000 kg on Air China Cargo services to major Chinese destinations.

These include Shanghai Pudong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing and Hangzhou.

Additional markets and capacity products are expected to be added to the platform in the coming months, further expanding digital access to Air China Cargo’s international network.
