AVIAREPS has been appointed Cargo General Sales & Service Agent (Cargo GSSA) for Air Cambodia in Japan, further expanding its existing relationship with the airline.

The company already represents Air Cambodia as its Passenger General Sales Agent (GSA) in Japan. Under the new agreement, which takes effect on September 1, AVIAREPS Japan will be responsible for cargo sales and market development for shipments originating in Japan and destined for Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Fuzhou, China.

The mandate covers a broad range of commercial and customer-facing activities. AVIAREPS Japan will manage cargo space sales and reservations, provide customer service, engage with customers and strengthen relationships with industry partners across the Japanese market.

The appointment is expected to contribute to Air Cambodia’s cargo expansion in Japan. AVIAREPS will draw on its air cargo expertise and international network to reinforce the airline’s commercial presence and support the development of cargo volumes in the market.

As of September 1, 2026, Air Cambodia operates three weekly services on the Narita–Fuzhou–Phnom Penh route. The flights are operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, which can accommodate approximately 2–3 tonnes of cargo even when passenger loads are at full capacity.

The new cargo mandate also adds to the growing portfolio of aviation services provided by AVIAREPS Japan. During the past six months, the company has been appointed passenger GSA in Japan for Air Astana, Royal Jordanian Airlines and Air Mauritius. It has also taken on cargo GSSA responsibilities for Air Astana and Royal Jordanian Airlines.

The latest agreement further strengthens AVIAREPS Japan’s ability to provide integrated passenger and cargo support to airlines, while marking another step in its expansion across the Japanese aviation market.

Ly Tuan Hiep, Vice Chief of Commerce at Air Cambodia, said the airline was pleased to appoint AVIAREPS as its Cargo General Sales & Service Agent in Japan.

“Japan is an important market for Air Cambodia, with strong potential for further growth in air cargo demand,” he said. “We are confident that AVIAREPS’ deep understanding of the market, strong customer relationships, and proven expertise in the air cargo sector will support our expansion objectives in Japan.”

According to Hiep, the partnership will also contribute to stronger trade and logistics links between Cambodia and Japan while creating new opportunities for customers.

Stephen Cox, General Manager of AVIAREPS Japan, said the company was pleased to support Air Cambodia’s cargo growth in Japan, particularly through the airline’s direct connectivity between Japan and Cambodia.

He highlighted the importance of the Narita–Phnom Penh route in facilitating trade and business links between Japanese and Cambodian companies.

Established in October 2025 as a fifth-freedom service, the route links Narita International Airport with Phnom Penh’s Techno International Airport (KTI) and Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC). In addition to connecting Japan and Cambodia, the service provides cargo access to Fuzhou, China.

AVIAREPS said it will use its sales expertise in Japan and its global network to strengthen customer support, raise awareness of Air Cambodia’s services and help generate additional cargo demand between the markets.
