Cathay Cargo is broadening its European trucking footprint through a new agreement with Wallenborn Transport, a move designed to strengthen regional connectivity while giving customers greater control and visibility over their shipments.
The deal builds on the companies’ existing cooperation and is aimed at delivering wider access across Europe, stronger process reliability and more transparency throughout the transport journey, according to Wallenborn.
A key part of the agreement is the introduction of live shipment tracking and real-time temperature monitoring, tools that are expected to improve both operational responsiveness and cargo integrity.
Wallenborn said these capabilities will give customers and operational teams immediate access to shipment data, allowing them to make faster decisions and respond more quickly when delays or disruptions occur. For temperature-sensitive cargo, the added visibility is particularly important, as it can help identify deviations early and reduce the risk of avoidable quality issues across the transport chain.
Frantz Wallenborn, executive chairman of Wallenborn Transport, described the agreement as a significant milestone in the ongoing development of the company’s European trucking network.
He said the strengthened cooperation with Cathay Cargo — one of the world’s leading air cargo carriers — would not only expand connectivity and improve efficiency, but also create additional value for customers through enhanced live tracking and real-time temperature visibility.
Wallenborn currently operates 17 bases across 13 countries and offers connections to more than 120 airport destinations, giving the partnership a broad operational platform across the European market.
