Centrum Air has officially expanded its presence in India with the launch of direct flights between Hyderabad and Tashkent, strengthening air connectivity between India and Uzbekistan while creating new opportunities for tourism, business and trade across Telangana and southern India.

Uzbekistan’s rapidly expanding airline marked the launch with an exclusive evening of networking and celebration at The Leela in Hyderabad. The event brought together senior representatives from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Centrum Air, the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, Aeroprime Group, leading travel agents, online travel agencies (OTAs) and other industry stakeholders.

The new Hyderabad–Tashkent service is designed to provide travellers from Hyderabad, Telangana and the wider South India market with improved access to Tashkent, as well as onward travel opportunities throughout Uzbekistan and beyond. At the same time, the new connection is expected to support stronger tourism, business and trade links between the two markets.

The launch ceremony began with the traditional lighting of a diya by H.E. Dr. Sardor Mirzayusupovich Rustambaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan, alongside senior Centrum Air management and other dignitaries. The ceremony was followed by a series of addresses underlining the strategic importance of the new international connection.

Centrum Air has launched direct Hyderabad–Tashkent services, expanding its Indian network and strengthening connectivity between India and Uzbekistan

Speaking at the event, Adil Mirza, Head of Agents Division at Centrum Air, described the new route as an important step in the airline’s international expansion and its continued commitment to the Indian market.

“The launch of our Hyderabad–Tashkent service marks an important milestone in Centrum Air’s international expansion and our commitment to the Indian market. Hyderabad is a dynamic and strategically important market with strong potential for both business and leisure travel. We are delighted to connect Hyderabad directly with Tashkent and offer travellers greater access to Uzbekistan and onward destinations. We look forward to building strong relationships with the travel trade and our partners in India as we continue to expand our presence in the country,” he said.

The expansion also brings Centrum Air’s Indian network to seven weekly flights. The airline now operates five weekly services from Delhi and two from Hyderabad, achieving this level of connectivity less than a year after entering the Indian market.

Aeroprime Group, Centrum Air’s exclusive General Sales Agent (GSA) in India, is playing a central role in the airline’s local expansion. The group is leading market development and trade engagement, working with travel agents, OTAs and industry partners to build demand and reinforce Centrum Air’s presence across the country.

At the Hyderabad launch, Aeroprime Group highlighted its commitment to supporting the airline’s growth through local market expertise, established trade relationships and on-the-ground sales and marketing support.

Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director & CEO of Aeroprime Group, said the new route represents another significant milestone in Centrum Air’s development in India.

“The launch of direct Hyderabad–Tashkent connectivity marks another significant milestone in Centrum Air’s India growth story. Hyderabad has tremendous potential as an international aviation and commercial hub, and this new service will open up exciting opportunities for travellers, trade and tourism,” he said.

Goyal also pointed to the speed of Centrum Air’s expansion since entering the Indian market.

“With the launch of Hyderabad, Centrum Air will now operate seven weekly flights from India — five from Delhi and two from Hyderabad — achieved in less than a year of entering the Indian market. This rapid expansion reflects the airline’s strong confidence in the Indian market and the growing demand for connectivity between India and Central Asia. We are extremely proud to have contributed to this journey and to see Centrum Air reach this important milestone in such a short span,” he added.

The event also placed the new route within the framework of growing ties between India and Uzbekistan. H.E. the Ambassador of Uzbekistan spoke to the gathering about the strengthening of ties between the two countries and the role direct air connectivity can play in promoting tourism and trade.

In the evening the Centrum Air team discussed the airline’s services, brand vision and market positioning. The Uzbekistan Tourism Committee also presented, further spotlighting the destination and the possibilities generated by the improved connectivity between the two countries.

The launch event was marked with a lucky draw where Centrum Air gave away return tickets between Hyderabad and Tashkent. The winners will get to experience the new route first hand.

The gathering saw the participation of a wide cross-section of Hyderabad’s travel trade community including destination management companies (DMCs), travel agents, OTAs, representatives of the Uzbekistan Tourism Board Committee and other industry partners. The event was not only a launch of the new service but an opportunity for networking, commercial activity and the development of stronger relationships between Centrum Air and its partners in India.

Centrum Air is rapidly expanding its Indian network and enhancing direct connectivity between India and Central Asia with its two weekly services from Hyderabad complementing its five weekly Delhi flights.
