China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) has secured the contract for the F3 Barge Berth and Container Yard Project at Singapore’s Tuas Port, further cementing its footprint in one of the world’s most strategic maritime hubs.
Developed by PSA International, the project includes the design and construction of a 10-berth barge terminal, a backup container yard, electrical substations and supporting infrastructure. Works will also cover on-site road networks, drainage systems, track infrastructure and related facilities, built on the completed Tuas F3 caisson structures and reclaimed land.
The expansion is designed to reinforce Singapore’s position as a global transshipment powerhouse while providing additional buffer capacity to absorb unexpected disruptions such as global port congestion.
In a statement, China Harbour Engineering said the contract award reflects the client’s confidence in its technical expertise and project delivery capabilities, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen localized operations in Singapore and build long-term strategic partnerships in the region.
