Tragedy unfolded in Baltimore, USA, this morning as the Singapore-flagged container ship, Dali, collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge. According to ship tracking data, the 300-meter vessel was en route to Colombo, Sri Lanka, when the incident occurred.

Marine radar data shows the Dali departing the Port Breeze terminal at around 12:45 am ET (4:45 am GMT). However, its journey took a horrific turn as it inexplicably veered towards the bridge and came to a halt at the collision site 45 minutes later.

Authorities are responding to a large-scale emergency. Air traffic control reports reveal police helicopters circling the disaster zone repeatedly. The Baltimore City Fire Department confirms this bridge collapse as a “mass casualty event.”

While casualty figures remain unclear at this time, emergency services are undoubtedly working tirelessly to assess the situation and provide aid. We will provide further updates as they become available.
