On behalf of the UAE Aid Agency, Etihad Cargo has delivered more than 120 tons of humanitarian aid to Nepal as relief efforts continue for communities affected by recent landslides.
The consignment contained a range of vital supplies to address immediate needs on the ground including food, solar lights, blankets, tents, baby baskets and other emergency relief items. The support is being delivered to disaster-affected communities where access to basic needs has been affected.
The operation forms part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian response to support affected populations and assist in ensuring essential relief supplies reach those in need as soon as possible.
The UAE announced $10 million humanitarian aid to Nepal following directives of the President. The country is also working to airlift emergency relief supplies directly to the communities hit by the disaster.
