DHL Group has unveiled a game-changer in European logistics – a state-of-the-art international logistics center in Robakowo, near Poznan, Poland. This impressive facility, a collaborative effort between DHL eCommerce, Post & Parcel Germany, and DHL Freight, promises to revolutionize customer service with faster delivery times and enhanced quality.
The scale of the project is truly remarkable. The center boasts a footprint of 32,000 square meters, roughly the size of five soccer fields! This massive space allows for an intricate network of 3,000 meters of conveyor belts, capable of sorting a staggering 45,000 parcels per hour.
But the center’s capabilities extend beyond parcel sorting. DHL Freight also operates a dedicated terminal within the facility, handling palletized shipments and less-than-container-load cargo for both Polish and European customers. This combined approach, along with a workforce of approximately 500 employees, establishes the center as one of Europe’s most advanced and largest facilities for parcel sorting and logistics.
The investment in this project is equally impressive, with €180 million poured into creating this powerhouse of efficiency. This commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction positions DHL to become an even stronger leader in the European logistics landscape.
