FIATA and WiseTech Global have renewed their partnership for another three years, with WiseTech Global becoming a Gold Partner of the international freight forwarding association. The extended agreement reinforces a long-standing relationship focused on advancing digitalisation, connectivity and operational efficiency across the global logistics industry.
WiseTech Global is a leading developer and provider of software solutions for the logistics, global trade and supply chain sectors worldwide. Its flagship logistics execution platform, CargoWise, is widely used across the industry.
Under the renewed partnership, FIATA and WiseTech Global will continue working together on initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, connectivity and innovation in international freight forwarding. Their cooperation will include industry dialogue, knowledge exchange and participation in FIATA initiatives and events.
The move to Gold Partnership also reflects WiseTech Global’s continued support for FIATA’s mission to represent, promote and protect the interests of freight forwarders worldwide. It highlights the growing importance of cooperation between industry associations and technology providers as the logistics sector responds to increasingly complex operational and commercial demands.
“FIATA values its partnership with WiseTech Global and welcomes its renewed commitment as a Gold Partner,” said Dr Stéphane Graber, FIATA Director General. “Digital transformation remains a strategic priority for FIATA and the freight forwarding sector, and collaboration with leading technology partners is essential to helping our Members navigate increasing operational complexities and evolving customer expectations.”
Graber also stressed that digitalisation goes beyond the adoption of new technologies, describing collaboration as a fundamental part of the transformation process.
“Yet digitalisation is not simply about technology; it is fundamentally about collaboration,” he added. “The long-standing relationship between FIATA and WiseTech Global demonstrates how industry stakeholders can work together to deliver practical solutions and create value for the wider logistics community.”
Zubin Appoo, Chief Executive Officer of WiseTech Global, said the logistics sector is reaching a decisive stage in its digital transformation as several major developments converge.
“The logistics industry is at an inflection point. Ongoing disruptions, rapidly changing regulations, rising customer expectations for greater visibility and flexibility, and emerging technologies including AI, are converging to accelerate digital transformation,” Appoo said.
He underlined the need for closer cooperation across the industry to address these changes and deliver practical benefits for logistics providers worldwide.
“As an industry, we must work together to respond to these shifts and create practical value for global logistics providers. Our partnership with FIATA helps drive that collaboration, and we are delighted to continue working together,” he added.
As part of the renewed agreement, WiseTech Global will maintain its engagement with FIATA’s international community through industry dialogue, knowledge exchange and participation in key FIATA events and initiatives.
The partnership renewal comes as freight forwarders are increasingly investing in digital capabilities to improve shipment visibility, streamline operational processes, strengthen compliance and build greater resilience across supply chains.
For FIATA, the continued collaboration forms part of its broader commitment to creating an environment where innovation can contribute to sustainable growth and more efficient international trade.
