Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has joined forces with automotive parts specialist Samvardhana Motherson International in a new joint venture designed to target the fast-evolving automotive logistics market.
The two companies said the partnership will create a global automotive logistics business intended to support long-term growth ambitions in the sector. The new platform is expected to serve as a high-performance logistics backbone for both groups as they respond to increasing complexity across global vehicle and parts supply chains.
Operations are set to begin in June 2026, with the venture initially managed from its headquarters in Dubai. As the business develops, additional operational locations are planned across Europe, North America, India and the Middle East.
Samvardhana Motherson International brings both automotive manufacturing expertise and existing logistics capabilities through the wider Motherson Group. Hellmann, meanwhile, contributes a broad international network and established logistics know-how across multiple modes and services.
Arjun Kochhar, chief executive of the logistics solutions business division at Motherson Group, said the partnership combines Motherson’s industrial capabilities with Hellmann’s international logistics reach and technical expertise. According to him, the aim is to build supply chains that are more resilient, more agile and better suited to an increasingly interconnected global environment.
Madhav Kurup, global chief operating officer for airfreight, seafreight and contract logistics at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said the deal further strengthens Hellmann’s position in the automotive sector and creates a platform built around resilience, agility and sustainability.
Both partners also stressed the cultural fit behind the venture, describing the collaboration as one built on entrepreneurial alignment and a shared focus on long-term growth. They added that both companies are committed to carbon net zero targets and operate with dedicated teams and proprietary technologies that can also help customers drive wider industry change.
