IDI Logistics, a key player in Southern California’s industrial landscape, continues its strategic divestment of planned warehouses, aligning with the surging demand for logistics spaces.
In a significant move, DSV Air & Sea, a distinguished transport and logistics firm hailing from Denmark, recently invested a substantial sum of approximately $107 million. This investment secured a sprawling 65.6-acre property alongside its entitlements, earmarked for the development of a cutting-edge 1.4 million-square-foot distribution hub in the bustling Inland Empire.
These entitlements extend to the eagerly anticipated second building within the esteemed Perris Logistics Center South. Notably, this transaction swiftly followed IDI Logistics’ earlier sale of the land and blueprints for Building 1 to Anatolia Capital for a notable $98.9 million, a deal that closed mere days prior.
While data firm Vizzda shed light on these transactions, both IDI Logistics and DSV remained tight-lipped, refraining from comment.
Situated at the strategic nexus of Goetz and Mapes roads in Perris, California, the logistics center promises to redefine efficiency and productivity. Building 2, the centerpiece of this ambitious endeavor, will boast a sleek 20,000-square-foot office space, complemented by state-of-the-art facilities including a robust truck court and ample parking for 397 cars and 316 trailers.
IDI Logistics, an entity acquired by Ivanhoé Cambridge and Oxford Properties for a hefty $3.5 billion in 2019, has significantly ramped up its activity in the region’s industrial domain. This recent surge in divestment follows the lucrative sale of an expansive 800,000-square-foot warehouse, leased to retail giant Home Depot, to Blackstone’s Link Logistics for an impressive $183.8 million back in December 2023.
As the logistics landscape continues to evolve, IDI Logistics remains at the forefront, strategically navigating opportunities to optimize its portfolio and deliver unparalleled value to stakeholders across Southern California’s dynamic industrial sector.
