Krempel, a global leader in electrical insulation materials and composites, has inaugurated its new Slitting and Logistics Centre (SLC) in Slavonski Brod, Croatia. This facility represents a major step forward in the company’s efforts to optimize its European operations and enhance customer service.
A Strategic Move for Efficiency
The 3,300-square-meter centre centralizes Krempel’s European slitting operations. Large rolls of material produced in the company’s competence centers in Germany and the UK are now slit, packed, and shipped directly from Slavonski Brod, tailored to client specifications. This consolidation reduces turnaround times and improves efficiency across Krempel’s supply chain.
Why Slavonski Brod?
After a thorough location search in 2023, Slavonski Brod was chosen for its strategic position and growth potential. Construction began in spring 2024, with operations commencing on schedule in November 2024. The facility is expected to employ around 50 people by the end of 2025, contributing significantly to the local economy.
Economic and Regional Impact
The SLC underscores Slavonski Brod’s growing importance as an industrial hub in Croatia. With new job opportunities and increased industrial activity, the facility is set to play a pivotal role in regional development.
