Menzies Aviation has completed the integration of G2 Secure Staff in less than 12 months, marking the largest integration programme in the company’s history and creating a unified North American business.
The operation follows Menzies Aviation’s $305 million acquisition of G2 Secure Staff in August 2025. More than 12,500 former G2 colleagues have now been fully integrated into Menzies’ systems, operating processes and brand.
The transaction doubled Menzies’ footprint in the United States and established the company as the largest independent aviation services provider in the country by number of airports served. It also helped increase Menzies’ annual revenue to $3 billion in 2025.
Hassan El-Houry, Chief Executive Officer of Menzies Aviation, said the integration comes at a time of continued consolidation across the aviation services sector, with airlines and airports increasingly seeking partners capable of providing scale, consistency and integrated services across multiple markets.
“The successful integration of G2 enhances our ability to meet that demand and strengthens our position in the world’s largest aviation market,” said Hassan El-Houry.
He added that Menzies remains highly confident in the long-term growth prospects of the U.S. economy and aviation sector, with continued investment planned in its people, capabilities and customer partnerships.
A 20,000-strong U.S. workforce
The combined operation now brings together a 20,000-strong workforce in the United States, delivering ground handling, air cargo and fuel services across 108 airports.
The integration has also broadened Menzies’ customer portfolio, with 70 new partners added to its U.S. customer base. The company has secured significant new business as part of the process, including contracts covering cabin cleaning and Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) services.
The expanded portfolio marks a significant development for Menzies, allowing the company to offer a wider range of aviation support services to its airline and airport customers.
Operations brought under the Menzies brand
G2 colleagues and operations at 85 airports have moved to the Menzies Aviation brand. This transition covered uniforms and Ground Service Equipment (GSE), as well as safety and security systems, IT and HR systems, policies and procedures.
The integration also included a number of operational and training initiatives. An integrated deicing programme has raised standards at 25 airports, while PRM inspections were developed and implemented as part of the wider integration effort.
On the management and training side, nearly 150 management staff completed risk induction, while a further 440 G2 trainers underwent formal qualification to meet Menzies’ requirements.
Leadership focused on continuity and growth
The integration was overseen by John Redmond, Executive Vice President Americas, who has led the region during a period of significant expansion. He was supported by a combined Menzies and G2 leadership team tasked with maintaining continuity for employees, customers and partners throughout the transition.
John Redmond said completing the integration in under 12 months represented a significant achievement, particularly as the process was delivered on schedule while simultaneously creating new opportunities and revenue streams.
“From day one, our priority was to bring together the strengths of both businesses while maintaining our focus on safety, operational excellence and customer service,” said Redmond.
According to the executive, the combined company is now better positioned to support its airline and airport partners and to continue expanding in the markets where customers require its services.
A strengthened Americas leadership structure
As Menzies Aviation moves into its next phase of growth, the company has also reinforced its leadership structure across the Americas.
Earlier this year, Tomeu Mas was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, North America Ground Services, taking responsibility for the combined ground services business across the United States and Canada.
Meanwhile, Roger Zebroski, who played an important role in the integration as a former G2 leader, was appointed Chief Commercial Officer Americas.
Together with the wider leadership team, Mas and Zebroski will focus on driving further growth, strengthening customer relationships and continuing to develop Menzies Aviation’s service offering across the region.
