My Freighter has secured regulatory approval to operate cargo flights to the United Kingdom, marking another step in the Uzbek carrier’s international expansion. Based in Tashkent, the airline has received ACC3 designation from the UK Department for Transport, confirming that its cargo security procedures comply with British aviation security requirements.

The approval will enable the carrier to provide secure and compliant air freight services between Tashkent and the UK, opening an additional route for shippers and freight forwarders in Uzbekistan and neighbouring markets. My Freighter said flights were expected to begin soon, with operating schedules to be announced at a later date.

Fleet expansion supports international ambitions

The UK clearance comes as My Freighter continues to strengthen its dedicated freighter fleet. On October 4, the airline received its 10th Boeing 767 freighter, registered UK67023, at its Tashkent hub. The aircraft, a Boeing 767-328ER(BCF), brings the carrier’s Boeing 767 fleet to 10 aircraft and its overall fleet to 11, including one Boeing 757 freighter.

The airline has further growth plans for 2026, when it intends to add four freighters. Its longer-term objective is to operate 50 aircraft by 2030, according to Business Development Director Mohy Sheneshen.

My Freighter is also considering the addition of an Airbus A330-200 freighter to support longer-haul operations. The United States is expected to be the aircraft’s primary market, reflecting the carrier’s ambitions to establish a stronger presence on intercontinental cargo routes.

Tashkent remains central to network development

The airline is building its international operations around Tashkent, which serves as the central hub of its hub-and-spoke network. In August, it introduced daily cargo flights from Liège, Belgium, to improve freight connectivity between Europe and Central Asia.

Partnerships are another element of its expansion strategy. My Freighter has signed interline agreements with Air Canada Cargo and Singapore Airlines Cargo, allowing it to extend access to partner networks and broaden the connections available to its customers.

Alongside its fleet and route development, the carrier is investing in ground infrastructure. A dedicated cargo terminal is under construction at Tashkent Airport, with a soft opening expected in November or December 2026, according to Sheneshen. The facility is intended to accommodate the airline’s expanding cargo activities and support its longer-term growth plans.

Broader ambitions across global freight markets

Beyond Europe and the UK, My Freighter intends to develop cargo flows across Africa and the Middle East, while strengthening routes linking Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with Europe.

The carrier is also targeting further opportunities in the United States, Canada and South America as it works to extend its international network. The new UK designation adds another potential market to this strategy, complementing its fleet investment, interline partnerships and infrastructure development in Tashkent.
