Singapore, July 18 — SEKO Logistics has opened a new logistics hub in Singapore’s Free Trade Zone near Changi Airport, expanding its footprint across the Asia-Pacific region and boosting its capabilities for cross-border e-commerce and B2B shipments.
“This move is about speed, control, and strategic access to the region,” said Alan Tay, SEKO’s Managing Director for Asia. “Singapore gives us a central position to connect Southeast Asia with the rest of the world.”
E-commerce at the center
The new facility spans 8,000 square feet and is tailored to meet the demands of fast-moving goods, with dedicated zones for B2B and B2C operations. Integrated with SEKO’s cloud-based WMS and transport management system, the site enables real-time tracking, SKU-level visibility, and rapid order fulfillment.
For online sellers using platforms like Shopify, Shopee, and Amazon, the Singapore hub functions as both a fulfillment center and a gateway for outbound shipments to Australia, China, and the US.
“Customers don’t just want fast delivery — they want live visibility and end-to-end integration,” Tay added. “This hub delivers on all fronts.”
Time-critical shipping meets customs efficiency
Located inside the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore (ALPS), the facility benefits from expedited customs procedures and bonded status, allowing for quicker transits and lower costs on international returns.
“By operating within the FTZ, we cut dwell times by up to 60% for outbound air cargo,” said Tay. “It’s a huge win for companies doing flash sales or dealing with seasonal spikes.”
Clients include apparel brands, electronics distributors, and specialty food exporters who rely on fast turnover and temperature-controlled handling.
Building for scalability
SEKO has already installed modular racking systems to allow rapid expansion as volumes increase. The company is also evaluating automation options for pick-and-pack operations, with plans to integrate robotics and AI forecasting tools by 2026.
“Singapore is the perfect testing ground for smart logistics,” Tay noted. “The infrastructure, regulatory environment, and skilled talent make it easy to innovate.”
Regional competition heats up
With other major logistics players expanding across Southeast Asia, the move signals SEKO’s intent to solidify its position as a regional integrator. The company plans to open satellite facilities in Thailand and Indonesia by Q1 next year.
“In today’s market, speed without precision doesn’t cut it,” said Tay. “This hub is built for both.”
