Silk Way West Airlines, a Baku-based air cargo carrier, has announced the expansion of its routes to China, aiming to strengthen its foothold in the rapidly growing air freight market between Europe and Asia. The company, which operates out of Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, is increasing its flight frequency to Chinese cities such as Zhengzhou and Chongqing. This move comes in response to the growing demand for e-commerce shipments and industrial goods, which have surged following global supply chain recovery efforts post-pandemic.
The expansion will enable Silk Way West to tap into one of the most active air cargo corridors in the world. The airline’s modern fleet of Boeing 747 freighters is equipped to handle high-volume shipments and will play a critical role in streamlining logistics across Central Asia and Europe.
