Amazon has announced the official launch of “Nova”, its new generative AI-powered logistics optimization platform, set to transform how businesses manage their global supply chains. Designed to operate across Amazon’s proprietary cloud platform, Bedrock, Nova combines natural language processing, machine learning, and predictive analytics to streamline inventory forecasting, reduce shipping delays, and improve fulfillment accuracy.
“Nova is not just an internal tool—it’s a strategic leap forward for Amazon’s ecosystem of sellers, manufacturers, and logistics providers,” said Rohit Prasad, SVP of Amazon Artificial General Intelligence.
Nova is capable of generating automated supply chain recommendations—ranging from optimal warehouse allocation to inventory redistribution—based on real-time market fluctuations, sales trends, and disruption signals.
Key Capabilities:
•15% improvement in delivery speed for third-party sellers during pilot testing
•10–12% reduction in last-mile shipping costs through AI-optimized routing
•Full integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) analytics and robotics platforms
Amazon plans to deploy Nova globally by the end of Q4 2025, beginning with North America and Europe, followed by expansion into Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Nova’s rollout comes amid growing demand for adaptive, AI-led logistics systems, as businesses face increasingly complex and volatile supply chain environments. By democratizing access to cutting-edge AI tools, Amazon aims to solidify its role as a logistics platform—not just a marketplace.
