AmWorld Group has acquired courier company Crossflight as part of a strategy to expand its logistics and ecommerce fulfilment services.

The UK-based group said the acquisition will allow it to offer customers a broader range of services, including courier, mailing, storage and fulfilment, project logistics and event logistics.

Crossflight customers are also expected to benefit from greater reach, stronger infrastructure and wider operational capabilities.

The combined business will now cover international and domestic courier services, road, sea and airfreight management, TAPA-certified warehousing, ecommerce fulfilment, mailing, event and project logistics, IT asset management, art logistics, same-day delivery, air charter and certified destruction.

AmWorld said the acquisition was not simply about increasing scale, but about bringing together two businesses with aligned values, service standards and customer expectations.

Ian Bolton, chief executive of AmWorld Group, said the deal followed a deliberate and carefully considered process. He said the priority was to find a strong cultural and operational fit, rather than growth for its own sake.

Ben Morgan, joint managing director of Crossflight, said the acquisition gives Crossflight customers access to a much broader platform while preserving the service quality the company has built.

The integration process is already underway, with both teams working to ensure a smooth transition and maintain service standards.
