Lanesurf has introduced a public AI-powered negotiation challenge that gives participants the opportunity to win a share of $15,000 by negotiating freight rates against an artificial intelligence broker.
The challenge is designed as an interactive experience in which callers take on the role of a carrier, while the AI acts as a freight broker attempting to secure transportation at the lowest possible rate. Any amount participants negotiate above the AI’s target rate is paid directly to them, up to the prize cap assigned to the load.
To participate, users in the United States simply call the designated phone number, where the AI immediately presents a freight load. From there, callers negotiate the rate just as they would in a real broker-carrier conversation. When an agreement is reached , the participants receive the negotiated difference immediately . Payment is made immediately once the AI accepts the final rate .
You choose each load from a broad spectrum of freight opportunities. These include short local deliveries, regional shipments and long-distance cross-country hauls. Starting rates can reach $10,000 on larger loads, with prize caps increasing according to the shipment’s value. Smaller loads may offer rewards worth tens of dollars, while larger regional shipments can pay hundreds, and major cross-country loads may award prizes worth thousands of dollars.
Lanesurf noted that the public challenge is intended as an entertaining demonstration rather than a representation of its commercial platform. The company’s production AI system is designed to negotiate freight rates and book loads at scale, handling thousands of shipments each day for multiple freight brokerages, including several publicly listed customers.
The company specializes in helping freight brokerages secure carrier capacity within approximately 10 minutes. Its AI communicates with vetted carriers through phone calls, emails and text messages, negotiates rates, and presents brokers with suitable transportation options, streamlining the freight booking process.
