CHAMP Cargosystems (“CHAMP”), the leading provider of IT solutions for the air cargo industry, has been selected by Thai Airways International (THAI), Thailand’s flag carrier and one of the region’s leading air cargo providers, to support the next step of its cargo transformation with the deployment of the Cargospot neo suite of applications powered by CHAMP’s next generation neo Platform.
The investment forms part of THAI’s broader transformation strategy following rehabilitation, and highlights the carrier’s commitment to improving the customer experience, boosting operational performance and supporting sustainable long-term growth.
Cargospot neo will help Thai Airways to develop a modern, automated cargo management environment that will lead to increased visibility, agility and consistency across its operations. The airline expects the new system to provide tangible benefits to customers and partners, such as faster booking processes, real-time shipment tracking and improved transparency throughout the cargo journey.
At the heart of the project is the CHAMP neo Platform, an API-first platform that embeds artificial intelligence at its foundation. The platform will help THAI move from fragmented processes to a connected, real-time operating model for commercial, operational and financial activities.
Cargospot neo Revenue Management was also selected by Thai Airways. The solution combines capacity and demand forecasting and dynamic pricing in a single machine learning-driven workflow, giving the carrier more flexibility to manage its available capacity and respond to changing market demand.
“The decision to adopt CHAMP and Cargospot neo is a natural progression in the digital transformation journey of Thai Airways,” said Mr Surapon Pisutpattana, Managing Director of THAI Cargo Terminal Service at Thai Airways.
“The choice of CHAMP and Cargospot neo as our Cargo Management System (CMS) is a natural choice as we continue to accelerate our digital transformation,” he said.
Pisutpattana also pointed to the long-standing relationship between the companies through Traxon cargoHUB, which he said had demonstrated CHAMP’s reliability and commitment to service excellence.
The airline has also witnessed the impact of Cargospot on leading cargo operators in Thailand, with the platform helping them achieve higher levels of operational performance.
“CHAMP neo Platform is another big step forward for us – connecting our operations in real time, enhancing our capacity and demand management to be more dynamic, and delivering a more responsive and customer-centric cargo experience,” Pisutpattana said.
The partnership is expected to enhance the digital foundation for THAI’s cargo operations, through the combination of AI-driven intelligence, real-time visibility and end-to-end integration.
The deployment also provides CHAMP the opportunity to help the airline respond to the changing requirements of an increasingly digital global logistics ecosystem.
The Cargospot neo suite and Cargospot neo Revenue Management would deliver THAI a scalable platform for its future development, said Manuel Galindo, CEO of CHAMP.
“With the Cargospot neo suite and the addition of Cargospot neo Revenue Management, THAI is investing in a scalable, future-ready platform that will strengthen their competitiveness, support their growth ambitions and enable them to deliver exceptional value to their customers in an increasingly digital and demanding air cargo market,” said Galindo.
The implementation is another important step in the wider transformation of Thai Airways, which has digitalization, automation and data-driven decision-making at the heart of its strategy to improve cargo operations and customer service.
