SURREY, B.C. — Global engineering consultancy COWI has opened a new office in Surrey, British Columbia, marking another step in the company’s efforts to strengthen its presence across Canada.
The new office, located on the third floor at 9850 King George Blvd., complements COWI’s existing North Vancouver location and expands the company’s regional footprint in a market that has become increasingly important to its operations.
According to the company, demand in Canada has continued to grow in recent years for expertise covering transportation, bridges, tunnels, marine infrastructure, geotechnics, coastal engineering and heavy civil works. As project activity increases and client demand continues to rise, COWI is investing in its presence in the region to support long-term growth and reinforce its capacity to deliver complex infrastructure projects.
Surrey was selected for its strategic location and its rapid urban development, with the city ranking among Canada’s fastest-growing urban centres.
The new Surrey office will provide the same multidisciplinary engineering services currently delivered from COWI’s North Vancouver location. These include bridge, tunnel, transportation, marine, coastal, geotechnical and heavy civil engineering services.
The expansion will also support the company’s continued growth in transportation infrastructure, particularly in projects involving roads and highways, as COWI further develops its capacity to respond to Canada’s evolving infrastructure needs.
