CEVA Logistics is taking another step toward more automated and sustainable contract logistics operations with a new autonomous vehicle pilot at its Singapore Blue Hub. The company has deployed two fully electric Z10 autonomous vehicles developed by Zelostech to test how automated mobility can improve inventory movements across the facility’s multiple levels.
The pilot is focused on one of the more complex aspects of operating a multi-story logistics hub: moving goods efficiently between floors. The Z10 vehicles are designed to handle a wide range of inventory, from heavy pallets and storage totes to mixed warehouse items, while navigating the facility’s existing multi-tier ramp network without conventional manual transport.
By automating these internal transfers, CEVA Logistics expects to make operations more agile, improve the use of available staging space and dynamically schedule inventory movements based on real-time customer demand. The project also has a measurable environmental objective. Initial performance models indicate that replacing conventional internal transport with the zero-emission electric vehicles could cut carbon dioxide emissions by at least 4,600 kilograms per year.
The Singapore trial is the result of an innovation initiative launched through the 2025 CMA CGM Startup Awards, an international competition co-organized by ZEBOX, the corporate startup accelerator of CEVA Logistics’ parent company, the CMA CGM Group.
Zelostech emerged as one of the competition’s top winners and received dedicated funding to develop a proof of concept in partnership with CMA CGM. The successful validation of that concept subsequently opened the way for direct collaboration with CEVA Logistics, moving the technology from an innovation project into an operational warehouse environment.
Singapore’s Blue Hub provides a particularly relevant environment for testing the technology. The facility covers 50,000 square meters across eight stories and supports contract logistics activities for demanding sectors including luxury, beauty, retail and healthcare.
The site is already positioned as a showcase for sustainable and advanced logistics infrastructure. It is recognized as Asia’s first BiodiverCity-labeled building and has achieved LEED Gold certification. Its automation capabilities include Goods-to-Person technology, automated guided vehicles and specialized robotics.
The addition of autonomous vehicles capable of navigating the facility’s ramps therefore extends an existing automation ecosystem rather than introducing automation in isolation. The pilot is designed to determine how autonomous mobility can complement the systems already operating within the hub.
The operational data and lessons gathered in Singapore will be used to assess the potential deployment of similar autonomous mobility solutions across CEVA Logistics’ global network of facilities.
