KLN Logistics Group and SATS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore a strategic collaboration designed to strengthen global supply chain connectivity, improve operational efficiency and create new logistics solutions for customers.

Under the agreement, KLN Freight International, KLN’s subsidiary, will work with SATS by bringing together KLN’s freight forwarding and logistics capabilities with SATS’ global air cargo handling network and expertise. The MOU was signed by Wong Siew Loong, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of KLN, and Martin Holme, Chief Commercial Officer of SATS. Jack Liu, Director, Global Air at KLN, and Henry Low, Chief Executive Officer of SATS Singapore Hub, witnessed the signing.

The two companies plan to develop and scale solutions across their combined networks in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Their objective is to strengthen end-to-end supply chain connectivity while making cargo movements more efficient across international markets.

The first phase of the collaboration will concentrate on two value-added service areas. The companies will work on end-to-end temperature-controlled handling solutions for sensitive cargo, while also developing expedited handling services for time-critical shipments where speed, precision and reliability are essential.

For KLN, the focus is particularly relevant to sensitive and time-critical shipments, including healthcare cargo, where every stage of the supply chain can have a direct impact on safety and service continuity.

“ For time-critical and sensitive cargo such as healthcare shipments, every touchpoint in the supply chain is critical to safeguarding patient safety and service continuity,” said Wong Siew Loong, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of KLN. “Through this MOU, our partnership with SATS leverages our complementary strengths to reinforce network resilience, enhance shipment visibility and advance service standards across our global operations. We are committed to delivering faster, more reliable and sustainable logistics solutions that provide greater assurance, agility and value for customers worldwide.”

Martin Holme, Chief Commercial Officer of SATS, said the agreement reflects the company’s approach of creating value through closer collaboration across the logistics ecosystem. SATS will draw on its experience in cargo visibility, operational efficiency and time-critical shipments as it works with KLN to develop solutions aimed at improving both service quality and efficiency.

Singapore will be the first station for the partnership’s initiatives. From there, the two companies intend to use the city-state as a launchpad for expanding the solutions across their respective global networks.
